1. What Information Do We Collect?

Personal information you disclose to us

In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.

Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:

Downloading a guide

When you download one of our guides from the AI guides page, we ask you for a work email address, your country, your role, and one question about which of our services would be useful to you. You may also tick, separately and voluntarily, a box to receive our weekly update. A further box confirms that you have read this privacy notice before you submit.

We process the email address, country and role to make the guide available to you and to understand who the guides reach. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing and improving material we publish, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The box you tick before downloading confirms that you have read this notice; it is not a separate consent, and the weekly update below is the only part of this that relies on consent. You may object to processing based on our legitimate interest at any time, as described in section 8.

The answer to the service question tells us whether an AI academy for your team, custom software that works on your own data, or neither would be useful. Where you select one of the first two, we treat that as a request and may reply to it. Where you select neither, we do not contact you about our services.

If you opt in to the weekly update, we process your email address to send it, on the basis of your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw that consent at any time, with effect for the future, using the unsubscribe link in every issue or by writing to us. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.

Form submissions are received and stored on our behalf by Netlify, which hosts this website and acts as our processor. Your details are not sold, and are not shared with anyone else except as described in section 4.

We keep guide submissions for two years from the date you download, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Weekly update subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, and the record of your consent is kept for as long as we can still be asked to prove it.

We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:

• Other Users. When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymise such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent's use of the Services. LearnSlice provides certain Services and Resources which may be used by children. Children are not regarded as fully independent users of the Services and Resources. It is the parents'/guardians' responsibility, respectively, to ensure the use of the LearnSlice Services and Resources is in accordance with the Agreement and to safeguard the children's safety and privacy. Apart from the limitations within the functioning of the Services, LearnSlice has no control over how parents/guardians oversee the children's use of the Services as LearnSlice does not interact directly with the children using the Services and Resources.

At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognising and implementing DNT signals has been finalised. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.
